DV cam drivers

Anyone know how to get a DV cam to work with a PC (Using 1394 ports)?

firewire on a pc....hahahahaha......wait a while for that to come down in price.

I already have the ports (as part of my sound card), I just need the drivers to make the connection work.

P.S. The cam's manufacturer has nothing remotely useful as far as drivers go...neither do some search engines.
