I don't think Final Fantasy 1 was ever even that great to begin with. It stands the test of time pretty poorly too. Zelda 1 holds up quite well though. I will always go back to it.
FF VII's characters hold up pretty well, as do the minigames. As for the core game...
Hell, I'm 35 so I'll just shut up and stay quiet. ;)
35= Age of maturity and wisdom in gaming.

OoT still has "it," and will probably never lose it.
I am 26 and I love games as much now as I ever did. Maybe ever more so in some respects... I did go through a lull for a while where I was not that into games... but it came back and nowadays I have found several games that have captured my imagination in the same way that games did when I was young.
Games like Skies of Arcadia, Jet Set Radio, Rez, and Advance Wars gave me the same sense of wonder and fun that games like Wonder Boy, Alex Kidd in Miracle World, and Zillion gave me when I was little.
I think it depends more on the specific PERSON and the specific GAME than the number of times the Earth has spun around the sun.
I'm 21 and you all make me feel depressed - as if getting older steals the appeal of games, or that games are just naturally becoming worse, or...
bleh, forget it. I'm going back to Prime.
