Jeff Gerstmann should be fired. This is the same guy who gave Mario Sunshine an 8.0 and Tony Hawk 3 a perfect 10.0.

Don't worry, the game scores well in the new EGM.
Wow thats pathetic :(
Controversy for the sake of it. Lame.
Haven't played the game, so I really can't comment on the review....
-However-
How can one review this game and call it among the "...most ambitious and atmospheric console games ever made..." , have over a hundred and sixty screenshots, make numerous references to its price and proprietary controller and not have a picture of the damned controller?
>sigh<
I guess they feel they did their job by posting previews of it.
Although their exclusion of evidence to support their claims is pretty unprofessional.
Maybe they aren't real fans of the Mech genre. I LOVE mechs and if I was able to get this game right now I would.
It's not Gamespot that's at it, it's Jeff Gerstmann. I've seen nothing but bad reviews from this guy, although I admit I only started noticing them after I read his Gunvalkyrie review (6.2/10, the fool).
Though I'm no fan of THPS, both of those scores seem reasonable. And dammit, 7.3 is not a bad score. It's clearly marked "Good."Quote:

GameSpot's scores are really off the mark lately :/ I mean jesus, the price tag of any game should NOT factor into the score, imo.
