ARCADIA - December - What's inside

This is the issue featuring Vice and Mature on the cover...

Lesse... The poster is for some Compile game with some superdeformed cutesycrapsy characters... It's ok.

One of the first features in the mag is an Arcadia Awards section including a top list of 70 games. Number one is Demon Front, which I personally have never seen before. dai-ou-jou is at 2 and G-Stream G2020 is at 5, just to give you some other ideas....

There's an article with a picture of the Atomiswave hardware.... The hardware that Dolphin Blue runs on. The hardware looks really slick but it would be helpful if I knew what article said about it, obviously. The page directly after this has an article and picture of the Chihiro hardware.

Games: Pop 'n Music 9 mini feature, HotD3 (with a picture of the INSANELY cool-looking shotgun light gun), Battle Gear 3 (Taito - racing), Capcom Fighting All Strs Code Holder feature (yet again... more screens, more art), Initial D Arcade Stage Ver. 2, KoF 2002, KoF EX 2 Howling Blood (GBA), another Ikagura feature, Technic Beat, Beatmania IIDX 8th Style, VF4 Evolution, Mazan: Flash of the Blade (...uhh... light katana game?), etc.

Hilarious SNK cosplay: K' as seen on KoF 2002 cover art, a Mai, a sick Terry, a Jae Hoon...etc.

More new resin models and other game merchandise mini-features....

A special Arcadia Frontiers section with a whole bunch of quality artwork... Some actually isn't that great, though.... ??!!!

A couple of new DDP and Gunbird 2! cell phone style screens...

A special KoF and GGXX fanart section (can't get enough)...


Etc, etc.

Is the Compile game that new puzzle one Pochinya? That's gotta be it.

Battle Gear 3 sounds like a winner... BG2 on the PS2 is a damn nice racer.

It's good to see DoJ at #2 and G-Stream at #5... my fingers are crossed for a home version of G-Stream. :D

Looked up the game in the last issue... it is indeed "Pochi To Nya."

Ikaruga is at #33, by the way.

I don't know if I ever heard of it... But what is the IGS PGM?

And I do beleive I messed something up. That list of 70 games appears to be just that. A list of all the arcade games released this year. I don't believe it's a ranking list after all.
