I mean it's not as if it's like Sega and Namco were merging, where there can be some kind of synergy of their talents.
It just sounds more like an act of desperation to keep the companies afloat, more than anything. It might help their bottom line but I'm not sure exactly how this would benefit us gamers.
Just because the games they have now don't complement each other means nothing about the two making new content that would be remarkable.
