Anyhow, I played a bit and made some progress: 1,102,150 - Stage 1-7 - Hokum

More to follow. The superplay has proved tremendously helpful. I should have unlocked it much earlier.

BTW, I didn't feel like bumping the thread for a minor correction, but since it has, the end of my score was "1,250." Oops.
I've been trying to get a score up here for weeks.
Seeing the thread bumped today set me at task to finally hold my concentration long enough to break 400,000.
sure enough:

Could you elaborate?
If you complete the first loop (any amount of continues will do), an "All" replay will be available for viewing in the replay section.
It's brain damaging.
As with most (all?) shooters: more fun than playing it in a vacuum. I consume as much expert gameplay footage as possible for all the shooters I play. Never yet has it diluted the experience. It rarely fails to bring new enthusiasm and depth to my play.Quote:

Had no idea what I was doing on stage 7. Death came swiftly.
Stage 6 still holds a number of spots just tight enough to steal away a life if I'm not hitting my cues. And rank makes death inevitable, the best I can hope for is to stave it off a bit.

Right on your heels, Rob. (I say as if there were anyone else actively playing this game.)
When I was stumbling around, getting good at the early stages, it was the bosses who held all the danger. Now in 1-6 and 1-7, that's far from the case. The 1-6 boss is pretty silly, in fact, if you're willing to spare some special attack action. And there's no reason not to.
But now, the stages are a series of very tight "cues". If I get my fire mis-aligned and take extra time to off a few drones, I risk getting swamped because I don't have time to get in position for the next set of enemies. And if I leave a few stragglers alive when I sweep my fire across a line, bullet hell ensues with fire from all four corners. I wonder if the Hokum might solve some of those issues.
Oh, and this can't be overemphasized: this is a stellar game.
