Rayman 3 to have Hollywood voice actors

From Gaming-Age: « Ubi Soft Entertainment has announced two Hollywood celebrities who will play feature voiceover roles in Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc. John Leguizamo ad Billy West, will play the voices of Globox and Murfy respectively.

"Rayman 3 is a 'triple A' title for us at Ubi Soft, so we are pulling out all the stops and bringing in the best of the best to work on it," said Mona Hamilton, group brand manager, Ubi Soft Entertainment. "Mr. Leguizamo is a total 'A' List actor who, among recent box office successes, was particularly impressive in his work on the animated feature, Ice Age. And Billy West is, well, Billy West -- a voice behind some of our favorite animated characters from Ren & Stimpy to Bugs Bunny (in Looney Tunes: The Movie) to the Red M&M character! We are very excited to be working with these terrific talents."

Fucking hell! Why would they go and do such a horrendeously stupid thing like that. I hope there is an option to either turn the voices off.. or better yet... have them go back to the cute Raymanese gibberish from Rayman 2. Or maybe there will be a French option.

I like Leguizamo, but I don't think Rayman calls for voices (er, no pun intended). Bah.

But they could've done worse, I certainly have more faith in those people voicing then I have in some companies desicions. We'll see...

Whats wrong with Billy West? I've seen a couple episodes of Ren and Stimpy, and I liked the guy.

They're both very good voices for the sort of thing, but yeah, the Rayman 'blah blah blah' talk gave the game some charm. Maybe with english voices from quality actors the game will recieve more attention, though.

I could tell you why Raymanese was taken out - because when the game came out many a review complained about it. So Ubi Soft obliged and added these guys. Its what I would've done.

It's a sad sad day when Globox doesn't speak gibberish.

I think Billy West's voice will be great for the Rayman games.
