I actually have fond memories of playing it when I was young, although last time I tried to play it (not too long ago) it was total and complete shit.

WTF? You guys are insane. Bayou Billy was awesome, one of the best beat 'em ups of its day. The graphics were great and the soundtrack was amazing.
I really loved the setting as well. The Louisiana bayou, what a great place for a rumble.
The game's only main drawback was its extreme difficulty. And the Zapper stages didn't quite measure up to the rest of the game. Otherwise this game was top-shelf NES fare, much better than Battletoads IMO.
Nope. It sucked.
I liked the Bayou Billy character on Captain N way more than the actual game. Damn did that game ever suck hard.
Bayou was below average by Konami standards but it was still a decent game.
No that was just me screaming really loud after I realized that I wasted 3 bucks renting that pile of crap :bang:Quote:

I'm a Bayou Billy lover... but it was a damn hard game. I wonder if I'd find it easier if I were to play it again today....
Nope, it won't be easier....I just tried playing it via emulation. I hope the man repsonsible for this game died a horrible, slow, bloody death.
Although I can see it's flaws, I still liked this game somehow. :P The bayou, the character, I dunno, it all just sorta appealed to me back in the day. Of course it played like shite but I still have a soft spot for it.
Oh I understand, I still like it too. It plays like shit, but it's very entertaining. Kinda like Showgirls.
