This is a remake of the first game (FFA). And yes it is done by Brownie Brown. I saw them listed as the copyright holder in the corner of one of the scans.

I can tell you what I know so far about it though ;) It was a game that was originally planned for the WonderSwan Color but later switched over to the GBA, it is a board game/party style title similar to Dice De Chocobo that was included in the Chocobo Collection PSX game.

First off: Hell fucking yes!

Secondly: If I recall, Brownie Brown was purchased by Nintendo, but got farmed out to Square to do this game (go figure). Also, I think the article (EGM a month or two ago) also mentioned it would be based on FFA, but not a direct remake.

This is great news, I loved Legend of Mana, and least this time it appears the main characters ACTUALLY SPEAK. I've kind of always hated main characters who don't speak, one thing I didn't like about Chrono Trigger... Still great though.

This is just too good... but we'll have to wait till probably December next year, assuming they schedule to release it in America (Which I'm sure they will). Then again I know nothing about time when it comes to how long before they release a game in Japan and when they release it in America. Either way, I'm happy :).

i want to vomit it looks so good. i'm gonna start back on legend of mana over break. guess i'll play through it in nightmare mode this time. ouch.
