Well, Sideshow is at it again. Soon a figure based on the Final Chapter will be up for pre-order

While this is neat and all, I am more interested in these other two figures that will go up for pre-order as well...
Nice...I was wondering when Sideshow would put out a Part 4 figure. Props for the bloody axe cut. Hopefully he comes with a nice hacksaw. :evil:
All that's left for Sideshow to do is Part 5 (the fake Jason), Part 8, and maybe Robo-Jason from Jason X. Oh, and if they really want to get nuts, they can make a figure based on the nightmare Jason Tommy keeps having hallucinations of in Part 5.
As for the T2 Arnold...Hell yes. I'm all over that. I'm not worried about the facial likeness as Sideshow seems to be really adept at getting that spot-on, but hopefully he won't turn out too skinny.
You are right about the likeness, Dole. They nailed it pretty damn good. As for the skinny thing, he is just a little bit. Not too bad.

I was at that convention. It was kinda funny to have Jasons crawling all over the place, but the only one I was really excited to see was Kane Hodder, who was kind of quiet and charges a whole lot for autographing the pictures he has for sale there. Plenty of other fun people at the con, though, including Bill Moseley and Sid Haig.Quote:

I met Kane at a 'con last summer, and yeah, he's a little on the quiet side in that 'tough guy' kind of way, but at the same time he was very friendly, was happy to take pictures with fans (and even more happy to choke them while doing it), chat with them, and autograph their stuff. I probably enjoyed meeting him more than anyone else at the 'con, in addition to Jeff Combs (Re-Animator).Quote:

Jason returns for New Line

Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes is coming aboard to produce the 11th outing in the sturdy "Friday the 13th" franchise for New Line.
Studio's hoping to fast-track the project -- centered on the origins of the Jason Voorhees character -- so that the pic can be released three weeks before Halloween on Friday, Oct. 13. Bay will produce with Platinum Dunes partners Brad Fuller and Andrew Form.
New Line's hired Mark Wheaton ("Son of the Morning Star") to pen the script. Studio prexy Toby Emmerich is overseeing along with execs Cale Boyter and Jeff Katz.
The original "Friday the 13th" -- set at a reopened camp that had closed 20 years earlier -- took nearly $40 million in domestic grosses in 1980. That's still the best domestic performance in the series, although New Line's spinoff pic "Freddy vs. Jason" was a solid success in 2003, with $82 million domestic.
Platinum Dunes, which Bay launched in 2001 as a low-budget horror specialist, produced New Line's 2003 remake of "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and its upcoming "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning."
Funny enough, on my last work project, i worked with Jay Keuper, the assistant editor on the first two Friday movies.
Good guy, gave me a lot of insight, and is still good friends with Sean Cunningham (director of part 1). He had a lot of great stories about the making of part 1, but not so much for part 2. I know he has interviews on the dvd boxset, but told me he turned down any involvment in that new tales from crystal lake (or whatever its called)book.
Strangely, he has never seen a single Friday the 13th movie since working on part 2.
