Just list your personal SNES Top 10 games list. I bought another one after selling mine years ago (after playing Prime and Fusion,I needed to play Super Metroid again) and I need recommendations. I searched, and it looks like the SNES hasn't had a Top 10 yet...so let's have your lists. Explaining why the game made your list would be cool too, instead of just listing the games.
Im not including any imports/SFC stuff
1.Yoshi's Island: I love the pastel colored world ,the music is fantastic and the level design is really great. Sometimes I pick this as my all time favourite plattformer.
2.Zelda:ALLTP:My second favourite Zelda game ever . The rain and the mode7 effects always bring a tear to me eye.
3.Super Castlevania 4 : 3rd best Castlevania game , in my opinion. It really shows how talented those folks at Treasure are , its just too bad half the time they screw up.
4.Super Metroid : If you've played Prime or Fusion , you know what to expect.
5.Chrono Trigger : It had the best story of any 16 bit RPG<havent gotten too far in Lufia> , and the battle system is the best ever used in a traditional square RPG. Hacked RPG's like Seiken Denetsu 3 and ShinMegaTen are much better than this though.=\
6.Super Mario World :Improves on Mario 3 in almost every other way.
7.Cybernator : Contra 3 was dissapointing to me with its slugish pace and overhead levels , but this game more than makes up for it.
8.Space Megaforce: If you like shooters its a must buy , level design is fantastic and the power up system is the best I've ever seen.
9.Hagane : Not quite as good as the genesis Super Shinobi games , but it's still a blast. I like it more than Ninja Gaiden.
10.R type 3: It's R type........if you havent played any of these games before you dont know what you're missing out on.x_X

Super Mario All Stars featuring Super Mario World- This cartridge rules because it has the first three SMB games, the <i>real</i> SMB 2 plus SMW. Brilliant!
Do Re Mi Fantasy- Hudson platformer that is every bit as good as the aforementioned SMW. The music is absolutely captivating and the controls are a dream.
Septentrion- Very unique. Absolutely haunting singleplayer experience. Ever seen The Poseidon Adventure? In this game you get to live The Poseidon Adventure.
Cosmo Gang: The Video- Funny Galaga! What could be better?
Yoshi's Isalnd- This game stands as the most unique platformer I've seen. Unique applies in too many ways to list.
Go Go Ackman 2- I've not played the rest of the series but this beat 'em up/action platformer is hilarious and makes me want to seek out the other two.
Pocky & Rocky 2- The slowdown is pretty rough but a fun, pretty and challenging game. Shinto priestesses have all the fun.
Cotton 100%- My favorite horizontal shooting series' roots. The first one is a great one!
Space Megaforce- Nice to see this one get mention already. My favorite shooter on the system. I love all the crazy weapons. It reminds me much of Spriggan on PCE CD.
Super Smash TV- My brother and I still play it together after all these years and we still have blast when we do. One of the greatest of greats.
My favorite out of that top ten are without question Do Re Mi Fantasy and Septentrion. These are what the SNES/SFC is all about. Fun and unique experiences.

If there's one console that I completely missed out on, it's the SNES. Just picked one up a year or two ago, and I don't have many games. With that in mind, here's my list, in no order:
F-Zero. Best racing series out there.
Super Punch Out. I could play this for hours on end.
Pilot Wings. I suck at this game.
Zelda: ALTTP. I still need to finish this...
This topic makes me a bit sad. I have a huge bag of SNES games sitting right here next to my desk, but my SNES is dead. :( But anyways, here are my favourites in no particular order:

Stunt Race FX- This one might be a bit painful to look at nowadays. Actually, it was pretty painful to look at while it was still brand new. :p But it was one of those games that grew on you once you got used to the slow framerate and slightly awkward controls.
