I can't wait to see the explanations behind the War of the Monsters score. That 9.5 sure is encouraging.

They all agreed that latency was an issue, though to different degrees: One said it was too skittish and another thought it was 'usually suprisingly smooth.'

Son of a bitch. "Usually" doesn't cut it in a fighting game. Oh well. That saved me $90 for the time-being.

did any of the reviewers happen to mention whether or not skies of arcadia supports progressive scan?

i am very interested after seeing a 9.5 for war of monsters... .hack's scores are a little disappointing, but then again it's kind-of a nitch title so of course egm wouldn't like it...

I really can't stand EGM's scores anymore. They give games 9s and 9.5s by one or two people, and at the same time one or two of the other people give the same game 5s or 6s. Ugh, thanks a lot EGM, that's really going to make my choice a whole hell of a lot easier. It wouldn't be a problem if they explained and validated their scores with the accompanied text, but of course that's not what a review is for, a review is for bad jokes and one liners, by golly!

And for the record, I still like EGM, the rest of their mag is good, but their reviews are pretty lame.
