Bandai of America brings four for GameCube
Bandai of America recently confirmed the release of four new games for the Nintendo GameCube in North America. All the games, which have been or are going to be published by Bandai in Japan, are based around some of the company's most popular anime licenses. First up are games based around Digimon and Mobile Suit Gundam, two franchises that consumers in America are undoubtedly familiar with. Manga enthusiasts might be familiar with the next two games, but casual Cartoon Network watchers are probably not; One Piece: Treasure Battle and Ultimate Muscle: Legends vs. New Generation. One Piece is one of the most popular manga and anime series right now in Japan. It hosts a neat pirate/fantasy vibe; the game itself is reminiscent of Capcom's classic fighter, Power Stone, with multiplayer aspects being the name of the day. Ultimate Muscle actually goes by the name Kinnikuman in Japan, and is a wrestling game developed by Aki, the company largely responsible for the N64 WWF wrestling titles.
Kinda diggin' on the One Piece Battle. Be intresting to see that one on American shelves.
