I was just glad that it did not knock out our power down here in Sugarland like it did last Monday in the middle of Monday Night Football and my online Quake Arena CTF match! That pissed me off - I don't mind power outagaes when I'm at work for example, but when I'm at home relaxing it is not kosher. The gods then have angered ME!
You should get a power back-up for your computer so you can play Q3 in the midst of black outs.

Yes. Power backups are a must. As are heavy-duty generators.
heh.. I could use a generator.. but I just spent $275 on Easton Press' The Hobbit, Silmarllion, Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and Return of the King. The Atlas of Middle Earth is next.

Why stop there Omni... why not get the first editions of those... and if possible try to find signed first editions of those... the ones printed in england. That will only cost $70,000.
I could buy a house here with that much.. Damn though... I'd like to read a 1st edition... see the changes that were made.
I was impressed with those numbers too.. actually, it's 70K for an English Signed First Edition of just The Hobbit. I'm sure it's more for the rest... I guess that really depends on the seller but surely they are appraised higher... and I highly doubt anyone could have the Silmarllion autographed. Seeing as how Tolkien died well before it was published.
I should clairfy that not only are those (really expensive ones) first editions they are first printings.
Mine are re-prints by Easton Press bound in leather w/ 22 karat gold.
