To game or to read/talk about games?

It has come to my attention recently that i spend far more time on the net looking at gaming news and reading message boards than i do playing these games that im "anticipating". My question is simple: do you enjoy reading and anticipating new games more than you do playing them?

I like playing games more than reading and talking about them.. but I spent more time doing the latter than the former.

I really enjoy it all though. So I'll vote for #3. :)

Doing something you enjoy just isn't as good if you can't discuss it with others.

Playing games and talking about them pretty much go hand in hand.

Exactly. Both are fun so it doesn't really matter which you do more.

I usually have about a 50/50 blend of the two, unless I'm working on a particular gaming writing piece.

I hardly ever play games anymore.

Although my girlfriend and I are playing through MGS2:Substance together, and thats nice.

I'm 'retired' from the console race. I play games at my friends' houses and visit the arcade regularly, but there's no escaping the fact that my interest in modern gaming is at an all time low.

I currently enjoy talking about my oldschool 'war stories' and yesteryear gaming more than worrying about what's coming out or who's going to dominate the industry this decade.
