Would anybody be interested in a tool to locate arcades?

I personally don't think there is anything that can rekindle the arcade industry.

But that doesn't change the fact that if you pull it off it could be a great app for people still interested in going to arcades.

I'm interested. Soon, I'll be looking for shooting games
(like Strikers 1945 II) around Northern California's
arcades, so I can contribute to the database.

You can also let the user comment on the condition of each
arcade machine--joystick stiffness, button functionality,
game settings, and so on.

It would be much appreciated if you could hook up some of us Chicago area dwellers with this info! I've only been able to locate Enchanted Castles, Gameworks, etc.,. I'm not sure of that Capcom arcade where every game was a nickel is still in existence or not :( .

i'm in.. i can cover most of south florida.

I can give you the locations of about every major arcade in Puerto Rico. Any I miss I'm sure MajinRyu could fill in. :)

but i'm curious. how do you plan to get the locations of every arcade in the nation? or would it just be like asking people like us?

I think it's a good idea. I'd recommend including more than just fighting games though.

If you plan on making it international I can tell you about some arcades in Montréal, even though I don't frequent them often. I have been meaning to try Initial D though..... ;)

The arcade is in State College, Pa. That is all anybody needs to know. :)
