My cocker spaniel was in horrible health a few months ago, at only 7 years old with a kidney problem the poor thing didn't even have the strength to stand up anymore. In time probably, but not anytime soon. We tend to take extended visits away from home right now not to mention we plan on relocating a couple of times in the next 2 years, it would be a terrible inconvenience to have another pet right now. My friend just got a new puppy recently though and after meeting it for 15 minutes I'm seriously fighting temptation.
Heh - I could only imagine - but its been many many years since I've had a pet and those were two hamsters... it surprises me how little I tend to remember or think of them - its only when something akin to the topic reminds me of it that I think of them. It'd be nice to have a dog or something - I've never had one before. Maybe later... way later..Quote:

There was a 5 year ish gap in between my last dog, and the dog I have now. Of course, There was a stray cat that I started to feed, then when it got pregnant we took 2 kittens, and the neighbor took the mom and one kitten. Gizmo died of congestive heart failure when he was 1, Bouncer lost a leg when she was 2 to a snake, that was quite a while back, and she acts like that leg was dead weight to her...
Other than my turtle running away twice, I've witnessed 2 of my cats being hit in front of my house, in almost exact spots about a year apart from each other (well one was mine, the other was my dad's). As it is my current cat isn't doing well at all, though the vet says the swollen kidneys and enflamed hypothalmus kinda offset each other to further stop rapid deterioration of her kidneys :( I'll have to end up putting her down someday, dunno what I'm going to do without her.

He wasn't snapping photos as the rabbit was dying...he took pics of him BEFORE, and AFTER. Given the photographic diary of Oolong's daily existence, I think it was fitting, and he did it in a very respectful fashion. Next time you think it's weird taking a few photographs of his recently deceased pet for the world's rememberance, think about the time you unceremoniously dumped your pet in a shoebox in the garden. This guy even went so far as to bury him with some of his favorite foods!
As for all you morons who feel the need to make callous, morbid, puerile comments or pick on Oolong's owner, note: He has been doing this for a long, LONG time, and if you'd kept up with the photos, you'd have seen the obscene amount of care and love he's given that rabbit. He's even paid for Oolong to undergo surgery a few times, which is something I doubt most of you would do for your pets.
Some of us are actually pretty sad that Oolong is dead, so for those of you who just want to poke fun at someone else's greif: screw off.
I'm not going to argue any points other than I'd say that entire last day of photos are images of the rabbit as it starts to die. None of the images of its last day show it in good health. Which means they are all images of the animal as it is dying.Quote:
