Their GBA efforts have been pretty good so far... Tales of the World Narikiri Dungeon 2 and Mr. Driller Ace have been among the best games released last year IMO. I really don't care for the normal arcadey stuff Namco makes though.Quote:

How the hell is this the least bit shocking? Other than the Triforce board, Namco's been focusing on Sony since 95.
that its not shocking in the least bit.Quote:

Hey now, let's not forget Smashing Drive, and the only console that didn't come to was PS2........Namco is tricky.......
I wonder how long developers will support the least powerful system out there? As long as there's the large user base? When will the user base decide that the PS2 isn't really the biggest thing out there? When the developers decide to push support for other platforms?
Around and around...
As long as I get my jaggy-free port of Soul Calibur 2 for the Xbox, I couldn't care less which console Namco is focusing on. Nothing else that's come from them has warranted my attention in the last few years and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
As soon as Sony stops kicking Microsoft and Nintendo's asses when it comes to signing exclusives and 3rd party support. I mean, the Xbox's big 'exclusives' this past christmas were Splinter Cell, MGS2 Substance, Shenmue II, Unreal....in other words, things that aren't very exclusive.Quote:

As for the "least powerful" thing, the only people who care are dedicated Gamecube and Xbox fans. The most powerful system has never been the most supported in any generation (N64, Neo Geo, Master System, and so on).
The execs generally decide which console their company's games are going to appear on, not the designers. And the execs don't care if the graphics look 8.3% better by putting the game on Xbox if it'll be playing to 1/10th of the audience. The general public can't even tell the difference - the number of ordinary people who know what a frame rate is or care about anti-aliasing is pretty darn low.
In other words, I wouldn't hold my breath.
