I have it. I wouldnt say best Ps2 racer but yes, its a hella fun.
I played it online, its rather gay online. You join a game, wait for everyone to pick a rider, race and then you get booted to the lobby. Theres no in game or even after game trash talking. Pretty boring if you ask me. But its still nice to be able to actual go online and race non computer opponents. Just dont expect too much from the online part.
Yeah this game is easily my favorite of all the PS2 racers.
I like racing games to be a little different though, not traditional cars or stuff like that.
Being able to play online is just WAY too much fun, especially over a fast connection.
What's you guys's favorite track??
Best PS2 racer = Hot Pursuit 2.

You misspelled "Burnout." But you did get the "2" right.Quote:

Ehh...
If I'm alone, it's Auto Modellista. I can't wait to play the American version with it's emphasis on drifting, instead of the Japanese versions emphasis on grip.
Multiplay? I'll take Hot Pursuit 2 just for it's accesibility and fun multiplayer modes.
Not to take anything away from ATV Fury 2. I only a few rounds of it but it was pretty awesome. Definetly a nice change of pace from typical racing.

I played the first ATV Offroad Fury back in 2000, but I have to say I was pretty underwhelmed. I thought the game was a little empty (both in a design sense and in the courses themselves), and the physics just a bit silly. But that's just my opinion; I know bunches of people like the game.
I haven't played the sequel, so how does it compare?
