I dont care much for this game since I hear Capcom basically just ended up making a GT3 clone with cel graphics. The new emphasis on drift is nice but if the gameplay engine is still pants, its still pants.
Im hoping that for the inevitable AM2 Capcom realizes the absurdity in making a "realistic" driving sim with cartoony graphics, and makes a balls-to-the-wall blazing arcade racer, not unlike PGR or Ridge Racer. After all, isnt that the type of game we all thought this would end up being when the first shots came out?
Oh yea, make it for Live too.
It plays like GT3?! Booooooooooooo! Thats just plain bad news, Sale -1. I really dislike the Gran Turismo games. Cell shading won't save it.
I also dislike GT3, looks like I'll give this puppy a rental before I take the purchase plunge.
Puppy Purchase Plunge? Sounds like fun, count me in. So how many are we getting, 1,000? I don't think I can eat that many, but it will be fun trying!
Drift = excitement level growing.
At first I totally wanted this, then all the lackluster stuff I read about it kinda killed my intrest.
The stuff about the gameplay tweaks has certanly piqued my hopes again...so we shall see.
I don't care for GT3-style gameplay, and the NA version of AM I tried a few weeks ago seemed somewhat more playable than that for me. It's still in the same neighborbood, but I enjoyed it.
I roar at GT3 style gameplay...and I roar at the fact that VW GTI's are always getting the short end of the stick in tuning games...at least throw in a Corrado. For anyone that has played it, do your cars have a insane amount of customization options? I just want a game with full creative control over how your car looks, I was hoping this would be better in that area than Tokyo Extreme.
I was excited until I read some of the replys in this thread. I was hoping for a nice arcade racer ala Ridge Racer, but I guess I'll probably pass. I've hardly scratched the surface on my GT3 game, I don't have the energy to start another.
Then Auto Modellista is definetly for you. You can add spoilers, bumpers, tires, rims, those whacky things on the bottom-sides of the cars that make it look lower, stickers (Which you can edit in something like MSPaint), full color customization, pretty much everything. It's pretty fun =DQuote:
