Japanese review scores
As the newest issues of Japan's magazine come out this week, we can provide you with an up to date recap of what's hot and what's not.
Dorimaga has the first review of Konami's PlayStation 2 mech action game, Anubis: Zone of the Enders (to be called Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner in North America). It looks like KCE Japan made some huge steps forward with the second game in this series, as the magazine's reviewers gave it scores of 9, 10, 10, and 10 for an average of 9.75. Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner is very highly-anticipated, and is expected out in America sometime this March.
Famitsu reviewed Nintendo's puzzle compilation for the Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo Puzzle Collection, and it fared very well. The disc earned marks of 10, 7, 7, and 8, for a total of 32/40 and a silver award. NPC is due out in Japan in February, but Nintendo has not announced any domestic release yet. Hopefully, they'll bring it over soon!
Finally, a game that's doomed to forever stay in Japan, Rockman EXE for Bandai's Swan Crystal handheld, was put under the Microsoft by Famitsu's Cross Reviewers. A platforming version of the popular GBA games, which have to to America as the Mega Man Battle Network series, Rockman EXE on the SC didn't do as well as its predecessors; it was given scores of 6, 6, 7, and 7, for a total of 26/40.
