I'll get better w/ practice... and once you let me use my ascii pad via usb. :)
really nice game, especially for a first build..
unfortunately my score was too embarrasing to post. :D
Celeryface, if you're looking into gba development, i highly recommend the pern project and gba junkie for beginner tutorials. the pern project doesn't have the best provider, so the site is inaccessible quite often, but make sure you check out the tutorials when it's up.
i'm just getting into gba programming myself, so if anyone has any additional links/pointers, i would love to hear them.
Thanks for the links. I went to the Pern project last night, but there weren't any tutorials online yet, that I could find (only the ones how to setup the compiler). GBAJunkie seems to have a few tutorials, though, so I'll check those out. :)Quote:

If anyone has any more links for GBA programming, that would be very cool. :)
Malloc for GBA http://www.lifl.fr/~saugis/gba/prog.html
Matt Tighe's site for tutorials http://www.matt-tighe.co.uk/gba/
Oh and the book is here. I'm probably going to get one for myself as well, and let you know what I find.

Thanks for the links, seen. I pre-ordered that book as well back in December (the original release date), but it got pushed back until May. I asked Andre' about it and he says that it's taking awhile to write it, hence the delay. I'm really looking forward to the book. :)Quote:

I don't get it, the book is already on sale at Amazon through textbookxdotcom at $41, and they say they have it in stock.. I guess they're lying.:(Quote:

Maybe I'll get into the GBA programming scene again, I have all this knowledge about it. I've decided to leave programming and focus on content development(art) which is what I trained for before I started programming. If the dev tools get better, then I might make a game or two, but I ain't writing tile caching algorithms.
I once tried to make a cross-platform library for Windows and GBA in C, so that GBA games could be tested easily on Windows. Games would be compiled using VisualC and would play in a window with graphics sub-system being emulated and on the GBA it would play natively. I got pretty far but I dropped the project.

Amazon Marketplace book sellers frequently place books online before they're out. I've had some purchases cancelled before because of this.
This GBA book sounds cool. Celery: did the author give any indication if he would take seen's concerns into account?
