So, was the first ZoE actually a good game? My total experience with it was 5 minutes at an EB kiosk, but it seemed pretty dull.

It really depends on people. Me and DJ liked it, but many people thought it was repetetive, short and boring.
Hopefully ZOE2 is much better game, so more people can enjoy it.
1. Not on my disc, just wait a while if not, it probably froze. The OPM demos tend to do that sometimes.Quote:
1. I tryed to play Battle Engine Aquila, all i get is a loading screen and that stays on forever?
2. Does anyone know what items you get with the .hack d/l thing on the disc?
2. Not sure, is the game out?
Heh, well after those 3 Z.O.E 2 bosses, I expected a bit more, but he was cool anyway. I played it again and found out more ways to kill guys and did much better on the stealth kills. I almost felt in control of REAL ULTIMATE POWER.Quote:
Glad you like it. Its a first boss after all, and original game's First Boss was even easier
Tenchu 3 did nothing for me...the jumping was floaty and your guy was slow - it was like Hotsuam at age 90 or something. Maybe I'll try it again when I'm in the mood to be stealthy.
But ZoE2 - holy freaking crap! This demo's awesome! Was the original anything like this? Just based on the demo, I'm thinking this has the potential to be the coolest mech game ever. Wailing on crap with your sword is the best, and the visuals and music are mindblowing. I had zero interest in this before, but I think i'm going to go reserve this tomorrow.
Well, Tenchu ninjas never were as Hyper as Hotsuma, and gameplay rely on Stealth, unlike Shinobi's Rush/Slash approach. I didnt feel that Rickimaru was any slower than before, and jumping was just fine :pQuote:

Glad you liked ZOE2 demo. Yes, its visually impressive, especially knowing its PS2 that does it.
This issue of OPM has the $5.00 .hack coupon in it correct?
I'm not sure. I'll check it when I get home.
I, saw a coupon at eb for $5mail-in rebate.
I, also just pre-order tenchu and zoe2. I'm getting ready to go to eb and pick up .hack. I so loved the anime series.
Picked up the new OPM a few days ago. I played the Tenchu 3 demo right away, and last night I tried a few other games- here's my impressions:
Tenchu 3- Well, this demo certainly isn't complete, since there's no blood or dismemberment like in the screenshots (taken out possibly because it's a demo and little kids might be playing it). But otherwise, after the piece of crap Tenchu 2, my faith in this series has been completely restored. The graphics are beautiful, with smooth framerates and a seemingly unlimited draw distance. The rain effects (especially the refection effects on the puddles on teh ground) were great. Character models looked great too, though the animation could be a tad more fluid. Rikimaru has a silly run. The control is just the same as the original, though the double jump is now a double tap on teh jump button, which is better than the double tapping forward and then hitting jump. The in-level music is back (thank goodness), and it's in the same style as the music in the original, which is amazing. And the grappling hook is fixed! Once again it functions exactly like in the first game. The only (minor) thing I didn't like about the demo is that now you have to be in stealth mode to stealth kill. In the first game, you could just run up behind the guy and stealth kill him. Now you have to run at him, then stop and switch to stealth mode to kill him. Is there a way to just run up and still get the stealth kill? Can you stealth kill by jumping off a roof like I've heard?
Overall, I can't wait to play the full version of Tenchu 3. Ayame, here I come... :)
ZOE 2- Amazing game, and so far the demo crushes the original game. Still, is it me, or do the graphics look a tad softer or low-res than they were in the first game? Not really a complaint, they still smoke the original in terms of detail and animation. I loved the combination of the anime and real-time graphics, and the story seems pertty cool so far (the main character's a bit of a bad-ass). However, I had no problem beating the demo at all on the first try. The game became easier once I started ripping down cunstruction beams and swinging on fools like it was a baseball bat. Pitching them like a spear caused a lot of damage as well. Fun!
Pride- Played it for one match. Didn't do anything for me.
King of Route 66- See above.
That's all I've tried so far...will try more tonight.
Was it in a flyer, or something you have to ask for?Quote:
