It's better than you could ever imagine.
Actually, to be honest, I'm somewhat impressed with how many frames of animation it contains. The combatants seem to be 2D digitized sprites ala MK, but they move so smoothly (at least when not abruptly transitioning between animations) that it looks like FMV.
The actual gameplay is asstacular, of course. Good stuff.
