I don't know why they're bringing us another edition, but I'm hoping this time it means the SE treatment for 3 and resurrection. (oh man, the cut scenes they missed for these two...)

Yeah, I read about this edition before. I would love to get it, since I dont have any Alien dvds in my collection yet, but I wonder how much that box set would go for.
I suppose in the $49-$79 range, depending how fox want's to abuse it.
awhile back, I posted a site that had all the missing scenes from alien 3 and there's plenty of videos that would have made sence, should they have been included. I think the euro version has them, but I havent' seen any for sale.
Now from what was kept back in resurrection, the jungle scene (mostly the ship's food resource area) would have been a good one to match the one from medlab in aliens. Considering where some parts looked like they were just cut-in, I'd like to have it more complete then letting it stand as is. Sadly, parts 1&2 were more important, but it ain't right considering 3 to have $300 mil world-wide and not allowing part 4 to be the hit it SHOULD be.
Looks interesting....
I'll buy it... guaranteed.
God knows what extras will be included, but seeing how it's 2 discs per flick plus an extra, they better put some of that Alien 3 stuff back in there. I'm guessing it'll go for close to $100, since I didn't get the first box set, it'll be finally time to retire my old LD and VHS copies.
ooooo... if my dad had a DVD player, he would buy two copies of this set. hell, he'll still probably buy one if he ever sees it.
ive never seen Resurection, but i heard it got bad reviews. i only saw 3 once or twice, so i dont really remember anything about it. but Alien and it's sequel are two of my favorite movies. i'd consider picking it up if the price were right.
I really like Resurrection. It got goofy at times but I enjoyed the ride. Not a classic by any means, but fun none the less. Bonus points for the gore content too.
Any news on the rumored 5th film? I remember hearing something about it not too long ago.
Next up will be Aliens vs. Predator I believe. For the record, I thought Resurrection was pretty decent too. Not a classic, but it was cool seeing they lift some of the stuff from the novels and comics.
Excellent, I missed out on the first collection, now I can make up for it. I think I must be one of the few people that really liked Alien 3 when it was released (heck I even read the Alan Dean Foster adaption of the movie before hand).
