For anyone who has played it, can you skip cutscenes and rush through character speech? If you have to "replay" the game to get farther, I don't wanna have to listen to speeches and watch cutscenes 10 times.

According to the impressions at www.tokyopia.com that someone posted (Ammadeau?), all cutscenes are skippable. Even the first time through.Quote:

The battles are more strat-rpg than your standard rpg fare. So far the battle system seems dope. You can always see and attack your enemies before battle with a variety of attacks/items. It also seems like there will be alot of room to customize and setup a variety of combos n' stuff.
It seems pretty difficult.
The graphics are pretty good. Much better animation than .hack/Suikoden 3.
The musical score is SOOOOO dope so far. It reminds me of Final Fantasy Tactics...alot. I have been trying to stay as spoiler free as possible...does the composer from FFT (or any of the sound people) work on BoFV?
I'm actually liking the whole underground theme so far.
Uhm yea, thats about it fer now.
Wow. That was awfully fast. :D
Heck yea, I'm just taking a little rest-o break, then I'm back into that shizzle.
The battle system reminds me alot of Grandia II but with more strat-rpg elements.
Kinda like Grandia II combined with X-Com...
I hated X-Com...
Its because it uses this "AP" gauage and the first thing that it reminded me of was X-Com.
Like when its your turn, you can move anywhere in the battle you want, but the further you move the more AP points it takes up. So the more AP points you have, the more attacks you can do, etc.
I’m a huge fan of BoF series but this one I don't know what it is, don't feel right. I’ll wait is release and maybe rent it to see if I like it
Oh! Well, that's no big deal. I think I'll be getting this on Friday, maybe...if my paycheck will allow it. Probably not. And all the games I currently own I'd like to keep...but I may end up returning Rygar to play BoFV. Besides, I can always buy Rygar at a cheaper price, no?Quote:
