Zone of the Enders 2 - Official

*poof* the game ends = exactly what happened.

I was playing this with a friend and I beat some boss, or whatever the hell it was, so then I'm thinking that the logical turn of events would bring me into a fight with Viola, but then she just goes and dies!

Then the credits roll, and we're just sitting there like WFT!? One of the worst endings I've witnessed.

As for the game: it wasn't very good but it did hold my interest, so I guess I got my $15 worth.

And maybe I wasn't paying attention or something, but I don't remember them ever explaining what an "ender" is. Anyone care to enlighten me?

Like I said, they don't. In one of the beginning cut scenes, whoever's bullying those kids says "you're enders, all of you!" That's the only time it comes up. I thought it meant poor kids or something, but then Leo says his parents are well off, so I have no idea what they're referring to.

I think they explained it during the beginning. Or maybe they did in the instruction manual, but I know it was in there somewhere. I'd check myself, but that would mean searching for my copy which someone else has right now and I don't feel like getting it.

Isn't it great that something that appears in the title of the game doesn't even get explained in the actual game?

She actually is. You fight her, she falls into space and *supposedly* burns up in Jupiter's atmosphere. Then Nohman comes out in Anubis. You fight him, but you can't actually win or lose. After your energy gets below half the LEV guys come in and save you. Viola's the last boss/enemy who can actually kill you.

I think people are being a bit harsh on Z.O.E sometimes, sure it only has three enemis and the levels are pretty lame, only two stages in the the end are interesting.

But for its time I think it was a pretty good game, I bought my PS2 for it and enjoyed it. I rarely play it anymore but reading impressions and looking at some movies from Anubis I'll say that a lot of things that where broken have now been fixed. We'll just have to see if there has been enough changes made.

Ahh, now it's all coming back to me.

Well that's what's so lame about it. Yeah, technically Viola is the last boss, but then you fight this other guy who you can't even beat or die against. That's why when I was playing I didn't think he was the final boss, just cuz you wouldn't expect a final boss fight to be like that. So when the game ended I was quite suprised. And disappointed.

Ugh the LE version will set me back about 140$ including shipping, but you never know what the customs have to say about it. Hmm Z.O.E 2 or GGXX and Dodonpachi Dai-ou-jou, decisions decisions :lol:

The artbook looks sweet, 200 pages. I think thats an old picture and that there might have been some minor changes.
