I've got a question-- What the hell is the point of controlling land? I've got to the point that I just let them stay under attack because it's a waste of time.

If you control certain areas, the shops lower prices. I think that's really it.
You mean people use the shops?
I do... :\
I'm really early into the game and it's the only way to get better weapons/items/equipment right now.
Just did the second Totema. God was that lame. I summoned Framfrit and killed all but 1 enemy.
I didn't really need to do that either since the only attack they had, other than their regular attack, was a Charm and I cought them on a day that Charms were illegal :).
BTW is there a limit to the number of members you can have in a clan?
The discount in the shops is not based on territories, it's based on your clan level.
(tens unit of your clan level)- 1 x 5
So a Clan Level of 65,
6-1=5
5x5=25
So you have a 25% discount, plus the 10% discount shops have on weapons that the tribe of that town uses.
Freeing territories unlocks better items in the stores. For instance, if you free all but two territories, you'll be able to buy Seventh Heaven bows from Bakuba. Also, certain missions will only open up after you have gained control of a certain number of territories. Help! missions are annoying, but you get 80AP for completeing them, and they're easy. So you can use them to master abilities faster.
I want to say 23 off the top of my head, but you still might wanna check.Quote:

I have a question for you guys. Does it seem harder to get the rabbit women race than any of the others? I still only have the one that was part of my original clan. She is now an assassin which I love so I want another one. I just seem to get tons of humans & Bangaa trying to join with my team. Is there any method to getting people to ask to join, or is it totally random?
Fury, you mentioned your harem of them, so what is your secret?
JM
Someone mentioned that during different seasons, different races are more inclined to join. I believe that, since, later in the game, when someone wants to join after about every mission or dispatch, you'll find that it's always a bunch of the same race.Quote:

Also, if you're low on Vierra Ritz and Shara will both join your party later in the game. Shara is Vierra, and Ritz uses Vierra classes. They each come with Sniper and Fencer learned, respectively, and some nice equipment.
