New Character: Nameless
http://www.joystickadventures.com/im...Y-COLOURED.jpg
Above is the link to the guy. My explanation is that he's an adventurer turned Security Representative or something. The glove allows him to weild magic and he is formidable, but not perfect, at melee combat. He's got large muscles in the upper body to help him swing his sword but a more modest lower body to help him remain agile.
He needs a name. Something cool like Solo or Gaven but not those names.... hehe.
I've also attached it for your viewing pleasure. As always suggestions and such are welcome

Couple things. The hips are way too thin. Dont look they could even support his upper body. Also, the feet just look way too flat, and not at the correct angles for his legs. His head is also kind of small, or rather short.
-
Actually according to measurement his head is too large (only 2 heads on his body) but you're right about the lower legs.
-
Just to nitpick a little.
His legs are too short. Typically, the body's halfway point is a point just below the hip. Using this measure, his legs are about a head too short. This would also fix the fact that he is only about 6 heads tall, which is really short for a 'hero' type character.
If you are to make his arms thick like that, it would also help the illusion to provide him with broader shoulders and a thicker chest.
His hand looks awkward with seemingly only 3 fingers. But another thing about the hand is that the hand and forearm seem to bend unnaturally, like rubber. It curves upwards in order to achieve the horizontal level the hand is at and it looks like he's got another joint in his forearm.
All things aside, as a criticism to the character design, if you want him to feel like he could land a crushing blow with his sword using his massive upper body, you also might want to give him a bigger sword. As it's pointless for him to be so beefy to carry a short sword. In any case, providing the character with a suitably buff upper body without over-exaggerating the muscles would provide a more convincing model for a fusion of agility and strength -- else the legs seem too small and puny to be able to carry his body weight around.

Longer legs. Thinner arms, or thicker body. Cool colors.

Thanks negitoro. Actually most of what you said I noticed after drawing him (the arm bent, the leg shortness, etc.). I didn't colour the original and just coloured it with layout paper and markers. I think I did a solid job on colouring him (the boots need some work, not metalic enough. I'm thinking silver, which I can do) Not the best way to waste my school supplies.
Thanks alot guys. Also, help me brainstorm a name! I will edit the original with longer legs and try to fix that arm cramp. to be honest I liked the shape of the forearm and put the upper arm in to keep it intact. It took me awhile to get it 'looking good'.
Again, thanks. I will post the revision.
Oh and he's not the hero. He's basically an elvish commander or whatever in charge of 'keeping the streets clean' which is why I used the colours red and blue. I put gold in to show his wealth.
Anyway. I can't wait to make these revisions. Oh and thanks Hero. When I put it up I will edit the post title so you know. (no aimlessly waiting)

A cop with flat feet redish hair and sideburns makes me instantly think something irish, maybe McSolo or O'Graven. :) All kidding aside, how about a little more character info for a proper name. Or try this method, you take the name of someone you know, find out what it means, then take synonyms for those words and combine them into a name.
I'll give an example, my middle name is Daniel which means God is my Judge, (GOD = Divine) + (Judge = righteouse person = right)= Divineright, add a little slur to pronounciation and you get Devonrite or Devonwrit.

Is he going to be in the next Mortal Kombat? He has the whole MK Ninja Costume going, minus the mask.
-
It's only a sash... sashes were in Mrs. America and stylish catelogues long before MK. And thanks Original Jester. That's a good idea...
Is there a link where I can find out the meaning of names.

ANDREW m English, Biblical
Pronounced: AN-droo
From the Greek name Andreas, which derives from aner "man" (genitive andros "of a man"). In the New Testament the apostle Andrew was the brother of the apostle Simon Peter. According to legend he was crucified on an X-shaped cross, and he is the patron saint of Scotland, Russia, and Greece. This was also the name of kings of Hungary.
