Er.. why importing? Aside from the privileges of paying more for it and getting it first. ^_^ Is Namco dubbing the characters or something?
I'm not paying more for it. I have a friend in Japan who's preordering it for me. I bought him a copy of .hack so he's buying me a copy of SC2.
And yes, the US versions of SC2 are dubbed. That doesn't matter to me though, I just want to be able to stop spending $10 each week practicing SC2 :) I probably could've bought an entire board + the game with the amount of money I've spent on that game so far. :|
is the free loader out yet ?
EDIT 2! More info!

Ah, I see. Very good. ^_^
Here's what I've found so far:
Pics and a "review" @ lik sang: http://www.lik-sang.com/news.php?artc=2805
Freeloader Verifier - a site trying to catalog every GC game and how it well it works with the different versions of the Freeloader: http://www.chrismarshall.net/freeloader/
Be sure you get the latest version.
It appears that 1.06b is the latest. Anyone talking about weird colors, slow framerate, etc. is most likely talking about playing NTSC games on a PAL GC (with an old version of Freeloader at that), so I think you can ignore them if you're just importing from Japan for play on a NTSC Cube.
PV: Yes. Click teh link.
i wonder if we got any of these at work ill have to pick it up if we did
So SC2 in Japan is without the shitty English voices in the US version?
The Japanese dubs can be just as bad as the English dub from what I've heard so far. Raph in both versions sounds retarded. Yoshi sounds retarded in US version, but sounds nearly as dumb in the JPN version. On the whole though the JPN dubs are just slightly better than English ones.
will this "Freeloader" damage my Cube? since it's not an official Nintendo product, how did they make the discs? i don't want a hack job messing up the laser or something.
Lasers being messed up by discs is a myth.
The laser will only do what its supposed to. Its on a track and never touches anything or moves in a manner it shouldn't.
