Too much to buy in Stupid Stupid February

After realizing that I barely touched half of what I bought during the Christmas season I've made a plan (that I'm sticking to, thanks) to only buy what I know I'm going to play. Having a game is nice, but what's the point if it gets no play? Doing perfectly fine all through January, playing Animal Crossing and knocking a game or two off the list of leftover holiday stuff.

And then came the last two weeks of February.

I've stuck to my resolution, I've bought a total of one game, Dark Cloud 2, and I'm loving it. Unfortunately the X-Box racing game Apex is calling me, and Xenosaga is sitting on the store shelf waiting for me to finish up DC2. After that I'd like to give Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter a go (a short RPG sounds just like it'd fit into my schedule), but Zone of Enders 2 is on the way. Admitted, even with it being substantially larger than the first it should be a quick playthrough, but then Ikaruga is coming. I've got the Dreamcast version but because of a sub-optimal apartment setup I haven't gotten to give it its due. The Gamecube is nicely wired up, though, and I'm quite looking forward to really putting it through its paces.

I was so looking forward to having time to catch up once the holidays were over. I guess there's still the summer doldrums...

DC2 does own. I don't think I can buy another game for 4 weeks or so, until I tire of it.

Yeah. Whenever I get more than 2 games at once only 2 get my attention.

Apex has a mixed calling from me. One one hand, the gameplay and building aspects sound really good and I want to play it pretty badly. On the other, many, many copies have game-breaking glitches in them and the cheating AI doesn't sound like fun.

I'm also not sure if I'd classify Dragon Quarter as "a short RPG" but I haven't finished it yet. This whole playing three RPGs at once thing is messing with my head anyway, even if BofV, Xenosaga, and Rhapsody don't have much in common aside from genre classification.

Yes..Apex, that's on my list. Definately going to check that one out next month. That and Zelda.

Dark Cloud does sound good.

I dunno what to get. Xenosaga or Dark Cloud.

Kind different games but still....... and Zelda comes out too.

Well, I'm already have too many games in need of finishing, and currently playing COTM on my GBA, and having great time with it. We also rented Kung-fu Chaos today, and its a fun game as well.

And come month of March, I have Tenchu 3, Primal and ZOE2 to look forward to.

So far I got Xenosaga, a GameCube w/ Prime, Zelda TOoT/Master Quest, and Resident Evil. And I still have games to buy this month and next. :( I am going to be so friggin' poor, anybody got $20 I can borrow for groceries?

I suggest using this system: The game that you're about to buy, would you wait at the store overnight for the doors to open the next day just to have it? If not, save your money. If you find that there's more than 1 or 2 of those a month....wow. :p
