Keratoconus

Aw crap, I just got diagnosed with this crap. I really don't give a shit that I've got it, since I've got horrid vision as it is, but I was making fun of my brother 3 months ago when he was diagnosed with it. Now he gets to make fun of me. :(

I didn't even know until the doctor told me today. My brother has it and can't see shit, while I can see whatever the hell i want when I've got my glasses on / contacts in. Maybe in a few years it will become a little more severe, or maybe it is just a bad astigmatism and the doctor was wrong. Who knows.

Damn man, sorry to hear that. One of my biggest fears is to loose sight, and it would really freak me out, if that happen to me.

I hope doctors will find the solution, to at least slow down the vision loss process. Or maybe they will do operation later on.

There really isn't any vision loss at the moment, but it's a long developing disease if I understand correctly. I've only got it in one eye, also, and it's almost always a bilateral disease; so maybe I was misdiagnosed, or maybe it will develop. :p

you can transplant corneas?

couldnt this be fixed via some sort of Laser surgury?
