I would weep with joy if they made StarCraft 2..best RTS EVER!
The maps people made in RTS just added to the cake! Does anyone remember "elements"? You had to pick one of the elements and then you powered up your character like an RPG, it was really cool and I remember everyone played it for some time until 513531 re-made copies came out.
Or how about simple stuff like FireBat madness, that was always fun once in awhile
the starcraft world is much more interesting to me than the others, so my vote goes there, though the warcraft 3 cutscenes almost changed my mind. all three series are excellent. there's something to be said for releasing a game "when it's done".
edit: wait, wasn't it 3d realms that coined the "when it's done" phrase?

Diablo owns me :) I had an obsession with original Diablo back in 97, where I spent playing it single player and BattleNet for about 7 month. And I still play it to this day. Then Diablo 2 came out, and I was hooked once again. I still have yet to get Lord of Destruction add on, or play it online.
Hellfire was a pretty cool expansion pack, and Monk character was cool.
Unless you already know a group of people who you are planning to play with, I wouldn't bother with online play. It absolutely sucks nowadays, the community is all fuckedQuote:

Diablo. Both games had me pretty addicted for a while. Starcraft was a lot of fun, too. I don't care much for Warcraft 3, but the Warcraft series has always had ace design and presentation. I can't wait for World of Warcraft.
I may have to stay away from WoW. It may turn into an addiction.

blizzard is good in my book.. blackthorne was one of my favorite 16-bit games..

Though, I'll have to go with Warcraft, simply because I really like the storyline as it's developed so far.
I'm now waiting on World of Warcraft myself... played it a little at E3 and was mightily impressed. I'm an EQ player right now, but when WoW comes out I'll probably switch. ;)
