yeah i've heard the game is short as hell. Is the replay any good? I'm only buying SvC for VS play but if Macross is a very replayable game then it will be top priority.Quote:

I didn't buy it after hearing the four hour thing, but all the posts and reviews I've read say it's not very replayable because the mission variety isn't all that to begin with and the only thing you'll earn by replaying missions for top scores (which is supposedly insanely hard btw) is different colors for valkeryies. No actual new models (the few there are are unlocked just by beating the game). Bleh.Quote:

they give you a couple options for the graphics and I THINK setting it to arcade type a is a low res mode because I can make out the scan lines easily on the backgrounds in that mode (in the HSFII post chibi had mentioned to look to see if you could see the scan lines clearly or if they were shimmering) so i think it might be

I see no difference between the graphics settings whatsoever (normal, arcade, type a, type b).
It's weird, because in Magic Box's pics it looks as if there's some sort of filtering going on for a smoother, more blended look. Maybe it's their size creating that illusion.
