Q: What game looks better than BC (from a total package standpoint)?
A: None.
This game looks amazing, and like you said, its year old footage so I bet it looks way better now.
I'm afraid BC will be another Black & White, good, but spoiled by too much freedom. The micromanagement in that game is lame, if BC has anything like that it'll fall into the big pile of 'overthought' games. I'm so excited for Fable that I almost jump kicked my roommate in the face. If it ends up sucking I'm going to rally together a group of angry people/morlocks/chuds and storm the big blue box studios.
of course enigma, Lionhead's developers are not a bunch of robots, they did gain valuable experience from Black & White that they are presumably applying to future products.
A game that is 10% done or whatever, doesn't mean that 10% of the graphics are done. TTT looked just like the Demo that was shown a year earlier.
I can't quite put my finger on it, but something about games like marrowind and B&W turn me off. Both of those games were just AWSOME when I first got them, but the freedom gets really old. Why is that, when I was little and thinking about the ultimate game I always said I'd just like to be able to do anything I wanted, but when they give it to me it ends up getting old fast. How does GTA and Vice city pull it off. Total freedom and seemingly unending fun.

Why hasn't the caveman ganre been tapped more heavily in the past? Also, why hasn't Caveman Games for the NES ever produced any sequels, I don't think I'm the only one who enjoys feverishly chucking badly drawn women across a stone platform by their hair.
well hot damn... this is simply more reason for me to forkover the cash and pick up a 'Box.. I'm a sim loving kinda guy anyway, and this looks like a weird sim if I've ever seen one...
