In all reality no Godzilla movie is technically good. But I saw Godzilla 2000 a few months back, I like the older ones a lot more.
That reminded me of the giant ass thread on the Go boards when that movie came back. Heh.Quote:

actually i hear GMK is pretty damn good. Shusuke Kaneko, who is supposed to have revived the Gamera franchise (dont think it was ever really alive.) tries his hand at Godzilla. not to sure how he did with GMK other than reviews though...

I really liked the late 80's, early 90's Godzilla films... particularly Godzilla vs. Destroyah and Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla.
I have GMK on vcd, and it is very good. But the plot is a little different. Barugon, ghidorah and mothra are all sacred beasts, ancient protectors of earth. Godzilla seems much more powerful than usual though.
