I never want to own or drive a vehicle, which is to say I don't own or drive a vehicle. I shamelessly take rides from my parents - but come fall, I'll have to go back to the old People Mover with the crazies. If it was consistently warmer here, and I wasn't outside of the city, it'd definitely be mostly biking.
Since work is about 10 feet away, I walk to work. I've yet to get a driver's liscence, but I'd like to so I don't have to co-ordinate with my friends every time I want to go somewhere.
i walk where i can, my job is only a few minutes jog from where i live, so its easy that way, so i only really drive for dates and to go to the malls.
Public Transportation (or walking)! Best thing ever. I am so happy to be car free these days. It's much cheaper, more convenient, better for the enviornment, and does not contribute to the current "world problems".
When I lived in the suburbs in NJ it would have been practically impossible to go car-free. But living in a city now makes it a wonderful reality. I have a main city bus stop outside my flat and the Métro is 2 blocks away.
If I ever move it will be to Europe, which has even better mass transit, not just in cities but between them. :)
On a scooter?! That's got to be one of the most funny images I've ever imagined! :DQuote:
