Perhaps, but I doubt I can reach it. But then again... These new scores seem to be coming out of nowhere.
Well, Core came damn close, and with a lower Shot Down % than you've got there, so it certainly isn't out of reach.
Slight updates:
Area 3 157,210 Shot Down 84.02 Item 75.00
Area 4 204,250 Shot Down 93.00 Item 80.00
Lost 180,540 Shot Down 79.08 Item 64.00
I know I can top all these with a little practice. Now I must do something about my sad Area 5 tally.
I can't seem to crack 170K in Area one, for God's sake - any tips?
Also: for some reason, Area 2 is the hardest in the game for me - it usually comes down to me trying to stay alive and almost abandoning chaining...I must be doing something wrong, right?
I'm sure I've accumulated some scores while Click was dozing at his laptop with FEAR playing out of his commodore speakers... I'll check them after finals are over. YECH FINALS.
New Direct Assault numbers:
975,570 Shot Down 89.93 Item 71.30
Dammit, you beat my score out by 70 points! Now I've got to go play it again.Quote:

1. Get as high a shot down% as possible to make sure you fight the Tera boss. He's worth more, and he's tougher to take out which is important because...Quote:

2. You shouldn't ever shoot the actual boss, just the tentacles/rings made up of little squares that come out of him. Shooting these damages him, and it's easy to continually get max lock-ons to rack up your score.
That should bring your scores way up, if you're not doing it already.
No, it's just a matter of getting the enemy formations down. I find it to be one of the more difficult areas as well - certainly tougher than Area 5. Anyway, I've added all your scores.Quote:

Cool. The more the merrier. I'm going to be updating my scores once I'm finally done with Dragon Warrior VII and Suikoden II.Quote:

After not playing for nearly a week, I picked right-up-into my top scoring Area 5 game. Now that was fun.
Some serious headbanging trying to make score progress with Area 2.
Yeah, BioMechanic, 4 games in a row I died just 3 levels in.
Lost Area has been my main concern anymore. I find it very difficult to make any score progress. The mechanics of eliminating some enemies are much more involved than any of the other areas. Around level 8, or so, a bunch of segmented worms start to writhe around. The less evolved ones are 4x, but the longer ones have >32 tail hits, once the tail is eliminated the head can take at least 6-8 hits - except lock-on will only register 1 at a time. Once it locks onto the player and charges its laserdragon breath, rapid tapping is required to destroy the head. 650 compared to 5200 is a significant difference. To acheive the 8x the player must leave at least 7 tail segments, then count down the hits on the head, with 1 hit left on the head lock-on the 7 tail segments. My best clean count on the head suggests 6 hit points, (not sure if I hit it while tagging tail segments). Once the laser begins to charge, it will absorb shots too -so I've often been thrown off from getting those 8x650. There're plenty more instances throughout LostArea where the 8x's are there, but just damn fuggin hard to get. Especially since most of them rely on you letting the enemies get their missles off, then locking on 'em as they accelerate on in.
Again, I was a bit supprised when my Area 5 score materialized. 500,000 is easily achievable with some serious playing.
Hrrm, guess I should go see if the Japanesse ranking charts are still available. I tried to get that LostArea video from the j-Rez site...
sadly I'm done scoring with Rez for awhile.
Only time for one serious game. And PanzerDragoonZwei is calling. I never even realized you could play Zwei for score. My only focus was simply surviving to see the progressing cinemas. Imagine the suprise a few days ago when I was at a freind's house and optioned the display to full -only to realize: PanzerZwei scores the exact same as Rez! ...lots of work to be done there.
so anyway?,,
Where's Kaneda, Regus, and NGEFreeks at ..along with everyone else?
Maybe we'll get some new entries this winter. ...Here's hoping Lucas is secretly racking-up some board-rulling scores, and will register a secret acount to post 'em!
put this in Babel and smoke it

Lost Area

Crap update:
AREA 3
171,730 Click_Stick Shot Down: 87.11 Item: 83.33
Yeah, I know exactly the part you mean. It's almost impossible to get everything without an overdrive, but I'm sure it can be done.Quote:

Done already? Well hey, I can't talk, you've done more scoring than I have...but you've only got to top Kaneda's Area 4 score and you'll own every single chart....Quote:

Anyway, all scores up to this post have been updated. Nice work, guys!
