OK, so that's not realistic. I think the ONLY way for this situation to resolve itself is for a FAIR and EQUAL, UNBIASED treatment to both parties. They are basically at a stalemate. No one is ever going to "win". There are people on both sides of this problem who probably don't even know why they are fighting in the first place!! I think that Jerusalem should be shared by all religions. Make it like the Vatican. Then evenly split the land between the two. We are all human beings, we all have loved ones. Who cares about who owned the land 100, 250, 500 years ago. It really isn't as hard as it seems. The US could easily put 10,000 troops in the area and force both sides to play fair. The only issue is the lobbies of both sides in the US and how much power they wield with lawmakers. If a real solution is going to be offered, it will have to one that neither side will like. In the end, does it really matter? Stupid religion....what a waste. The world would be better off if there was no religion. It has outlived it's usefulness.

Hey don't hate on Karl Marx. Yeah he was a little loony, but he had nothing to do with Communism. He wanted Utopian Socialism, which while his plan is ultimately not feasible, doesn't make him the instigator of communism. He just wrote some books.Quote:

On religion. While I myself am agnostic, I can't say religion is unimportant. Religion is the bases for a lot of the laws and morals that we have. Many people depend on religion to give them support in life. And more power to them for it. If it's what people want to do, you have to respect that.

Yeah, some books/writings (Communist Manifesto) that Lenin, Stalin and all the like read... Still, the point was it's the taking of belief systems to the extreme that's the threat. And other beliefs have done far more damage/death to the world. I just hate when religion gets categorized as something that's totally different, while other belief systems are given a free pass because they're not god-based, structured, strict moral codes, etc...Quote:

I never said religion should never have existed. I said that it should no longer be around. It is no longer needed. We as a species have outgrown it. If religion was so relevant today, then all of this stuff would not happen. It is because of religion and man's inherant nature that we have all of these problems. I know religion isn't going away, but it has become irrelavant in todays times. If there should be a religion it should be more "human" centric. We are all the same in the end, we all share the same feelings and experiances. One world, one religion....call it Humanism. The belief that we will respect one another no matter what our differences are. Plain and simple.
