Also I believe if you count Japanese imports, then by sheer volume the Saturn was a better RPG system than the PS1.....
here is just a very incomplete list of some of them:
Shining the Holy Ark
Magical Knight Rayearth
Sakura Taisen 1+2
Phantasy Star colletion
Falcom Classics collection
Puyo Puyo Dungeons
Tengai Makyo 4
Terra Phantastica
Legend of Heroes
Devil Summoner
Soul Hackers
Lunar 1&2
Lunar Magic School
Galaxy Fraulein Yuna
Legend of Oasis
Dark Savior
Dragon Force 1&2
Black Matrix
Langrisser 3,4,5
Slayers!
Albert Odyssey
Chaos Seed
Not to mention the hundreds or so "hentai" RPGs that are available....

SNES
I hear that the Ps1 version of Soul Hackers is superior.Quote:

Yeah, but Grandia on Saturn rapes the PS1 version.
The Playstation easily has the most quantity and quality of RPGs.
I don't factor in games that never came out in English since virtually everyone outside of Japan can't play them. Translated roms are an awesome creation but they tend to rewrite history since those games were as good as non-existent upon their release for most people.
