OK... I make really childish black and white paintings with stenciled lettering on them. If I post them here are you guys gonna make fun of me?
My shit is not on the level with anything that you guys have posted... its pretty basic.
Just curious... I'd kinda like to see what other people think of them... but I don't take criticism too well.

A surprisingly wussy statement coming from you. I haven't seen anyone by an asshole on this section of the board for quite some time so I think your safe.
I won't make fun of you even if you post stick figures. I'm not confident enough in my own art to put someone else down.

are there any artists that aren't insecure about their work? because i've never met anyone that wasn't. i know i'm pretty insecure about my stuff, but that's not why i don't post anything up here or elsewhere. i just don't have any that i like enough to post up, sketches or finished.

Yes, there are artists who aren't insecure about their work. They still consider themselves improving all the time, but they're confident in what they produce at the moment. There's also the other side of the spectrum with people who think whatever they do is brilliant, even when it's garbage. I've met both types.
Well, I just searched for batteries for a long ass time. Need batteries to take pics of the paintings... so maybe some other night.
88mph if anyone makes fun of you, you'd probably come back with something witty and humorous anyways. Not to mention, I suck at art as well, I'd probably stare in awe even though it sucks. Because I have that bad habbit of putting myself up against everyone else, which is a very depressing habbit.
Maybe if I had some patience I could draw, but no matter what you do 88mph, you'll get support from people. Especially since while people on TNL can bitch and whatnot on the game threads and the like, I haven't seen much of that sort of thing on this board.
I think this is the more level headed side of the boards.

You have to come to terms with all types of criticism (being a musician I'm sure you know this), as it will always make you think of your art in different ways, and sometimes make you better for it.
And I'm picturing your art to look similar to something I'd find on an older punk album cover no?
