either that, or Torx has some reason to get excited about that i just haven't heard about.
i feel the same way about the character. who's making this?Quote:

My biggest problem with the genre of late is more the scavenger hunt mentality. Even games with great characters have fallen victim to it(Super Mario Sunshine, Sonic Adventure 2).
and yes, unfortunatley that's what has become of the genre, although there's been some pretty good stuff these last 2 generations. not much, but some stuff still stood out to me (Mario 64, Rayman 2, Klonoa, and im sure i have to be forgetting something).
i guess we just want the best out of gaming.Quote:

Yep, because when we aren't playing our platformers as cuddly animals or plump plumbers, we're getting screwed!Quote:

I don't like to whine but mascot platformers are probably the only genre that has gone considerably downhill post-16-bit. I love Super Mario 64 and Sonic Adventure but almost every great game in this genre was done so much better in the past.
I agree that platformers have gone downhill since the 16 bit era, but that's certainly not due to shoddy character designs :p

I know. It's sad really. People will bitch for the sake of bitching and prejudge without even picking up the damn controller.Quote:

Wanting the "best" out of gaming is what you make of it and not the other way around.

It doesn't look very good in gameplay screens to me.
Tork is made by the Rayman 2 team. Like person for person. The character i like, but don't love, and all the browns and yellows grate on me, but they gameplay looks fucking fun. Varied and action packed.Quote:
