I am loving it. It is a magazine written for adult gamers with tons of insight and well thought out stories.

The issue I read (Issue 7) had the following stuff in it:

An editorial written by a gentleman who had just left a large game development corporation, talking about what was lost and gained and the place of small indy developers in the future of games.

Lost in Translation - Quebec getting tough with games companies passing legislation to make them release games in English and French. Very interesting story.

Feature on Codename: Gordon, the "love child" of Half Life and Metal Slug. Some good coverage.

Games that Time forgot (like a graveyard for underappreciated/slightly older games): Ico. Good stuff.

Working designs feature.

Videogame Preview -to- English Dictionary: Sometimes game previews say more than you think. How to decode the wording of press releases and such. Cool article.

This magazine is quality over quantity, and without the crap.

This magazine's motto is "We don't treat you like you're 14". I am in love with this mag.

I want to subscribe, I just want to make sure they don't fold. I would also like to get my hands on the back issues. Please guys, let me know if you find early issues (before 7) so I can check them out.

A one pager, in fact.

And its officially dead now.

The article is at Gamespot. They cite lack of ad revenue as the major reason for the death of the magazine.

It lasted a full year at least...

what polygon is dead? i sw an issue in my local media play. the layout and design was absolutely revolting. i went there to get the new play but it doesnt seem they carry that anymore.

This explains why I've been unable to find it recently. God damn it. The only issue I got to see was the one with the new Leisure Suit Larry on the cover, and I really liked what I read. Every time I've been by Harvard Square I'd hit up the newsstand looking for new issues, the only place I did find the mag that one time, and I was wondering what was up... this was what I feared, but I hoped it wasn't true.

Good. The magazine sucked monkey dick. The reviews and feature articles were shallow, and the pages contained more empty space than the goatse rectum. GamesTM blows this turd out of the water.

I do believe this magazine is crap. High gloss crap, but crap all the same.
