I'm a scientist who's published 6 papers and spoken at 2 (inter)national conventions in 3 years since graduation. 2 more papers in the works. :D

Well, I'm database consultant/programmer :)
Graphic Arts and Web Design
My main thing is the retailing of videogames. It's certainly interesting owning my own place and I'm very well set up for things like avoiding responsibility and pumping up my library of 16 and 32 bit games (the trade ins). But to be honest I'm getting stir crazy. I used to like to drive around in the desert with the dogs alot.
I also work as a hiphop DJ. I mostly just like to scratch and can't really be bothered to mix. Hence, I rarely work. I mean I'll make some smooth mixes if someone that's paying for them raelly wants me to, but that's basic, boring amateur night shit. You could train a monkey to mix records. I've been invited to tour with my two buddies next month so that'll ease the stir craziness. The band is like this: Otha Major is a wicked amazing human beatbox. I've heard few like him and only Rahzel and his one buddy that he tours with some have proven to be "better". My close friend and neighbor James Whiton is the most serious standup bass player I've ever heard aside from Mingus. So we have a three piece. We played together every week at a club last summer but we've never practiced. And we're not gonna practice before tour. Why not? We don't need to. We're pro like that :)
I also am willing to engage in any soldering project that can be made worth my while. I've rebuilt a couple of very large audio mixing boards and it looks like I have to refurbish the one at Big Sound Productions. Of all my gigs, this sort of thing pays the most for the least amount of work. It's also fun to not work with the public once in awhile.
I've thought about helping people with dog obedience. But I realized that anyone that needs help with a mere dog, I probably don't want to be around.
That's my busy life.

I'm thinking about doing a little part time gig that will be me working one-on-one with people that have problemed pets (focusing on over aggresive dogs mostly).Quote:

True, people that are bad with their animals really, really annoy me.
But for the most part I'm not doing it for the people, I'm doing it for the pets.
If you can teach people to better handle their pets, they'll in turn treat their pets better, but also any animals they get in the future, as well as sharing the knowledge you give with them with other people.
Not to mention the people I'd work with generally are to the point where it's either get better with their dog, or get rid of it. Which a lot of times means killing the dog because the pound won't take the time to rehibilitate such an animal.
So yea, if you can, do it for the animals, not the people.
Currently I'm a busboy in a resturaunt.
