Aren't you glad the DC died?
I know a lot of people freaked when Sega pulled out of the hardware business but hopefully now people will see the benefits of not being tied to one piece of hardware. Sure, Sega hasn't made much money yet but I still think they are better off.
I love the DC but I don't think games like Panzer Dragoon Orta(and future games) would have turned out as nice on it.

Yeah, there are some benefits, but there's also a lot of downsides to all of this. I now have to own 3 consoles, to play all of Sega's games. I have a PS2 and a Gamecube, but opted for a new P.C. over buying an Xbox. Would love to own an Xbox, but the only reason I'd own one, is because of Sega's games.
While the Dreamcast does'nt compete with the likes of Gamecube or Xbox, it defineatly holds it's own to PS2 and probably could have outdone it on several occasions. It's very rare that I see a game on PS2, that I don't think would be possible on DC hardware.
I could just imagine how far online gaming would have come, if the Dreamcast was still around, or what unique titles it would have seen. I'm not bitter that the DC is dead, but I'm not too happy about it either.
