Tribes: Vengeance
It has been announced that the next game in the Tribes series will be developed by Irrational Games. I'm not a big Tribes fan but unlike the other games, this one is supposed to have a very impressive single-player campaign. Here's some info and the first screenshot: http://www.tribalwar.com/

Eh, this could be decent, but the original Tribes was really a brilliant game. I want to see a sequel to Tribes done right... and a singleplayer title wont do. Back in the day, the vast landscapes and drivable vehicles were a godsend, and the game looked like no other on a 3Dfx card... oh well.

Taking an excellent multiplayer series and focusing on the singleplayer...The strange physics and weapons work great in multi but they'd be hell in a singleplayer game. They'll prob be doing alot of re-working. On the plus side, the Starsiege universe is great from a storytelling pov so perhaps singleplayer could work. Still, I'd rather they concentrate fully on multiplayer.

At least it's still going to have multiplayer. But I can understand Tribes fans not being too pleased with the direction. I'm excited mostly because it's a new FPS from Irrational.

Wow, I thought Irrational was dead, after The Lost was a no-show and Freedom Force didn't sell. I guess that's good news.

I can't figure out why Freedom Force didn't sell. That was one of the best games I've played in the last six months. I'm now willing to give anything from Irrational a chance.
