A Top 25 Challenge

Dolemite, its cool to see that you have Illbleed as number 7 on your list. I loved that game. It is absolutely the best "horror" game around, and its one of my favorite games on the Dreamcast. Its good to see some people giving it some respect. I think Illbleed is the only game that has come out in the last 5 years that I have actually beaten more than once. Even though its way too easy the second time through its still fun and well worth it.

If there is anybody out there who still hasn't given Illbleed a shot then you should do so right away. AND, if you have tried it out, but dismissed it fairly quickly (like before the end of the 1st level) then give it another shot! Its sick, twisted, bizarre, scary, funny, cheesey, campy, and just plain cool as hell! Even though it will never happen I would still like to see a refined sequel to this game someday...

Anyway, yeah, if I made up my top 25 list I would definitely slip it in there somewhere as well...

Hi Jeremy - I'm not miffed or anything at not classing myself as hardcore. I'm sure that there are many equally valid definitions of the word. But the one that always sticks with me is the one that deems skillage in fighters and shmups as truly significant.

In this respect Alpha 2, and my skills there may mark me out as hardcore, but I don't find shmups that rewarding.

In terms of staying true to myself - this list is definitely that.

This would be alot better as a top 5 thread. Nothing against any of you, but I don't want to sit down and read 100 lists of 25 games. :p

Maybe top 10 for each platform would be better, as it's hard to rank games across generations.
