Well... yes. I thought so. Anyway, it's not like he never took a hit, and during that 100-man brawl with Agent Smith he was eventually overwhelmed and had to run from the fight. Also, his hand got cut during that fight with the rogue programs, so he's clearly not perfect.
Well, The little damage Neo took is not enough to add the film to feeling that main hero is in ANY danger. In first one, when Neo got beat up by Smith, you feared for him. Here he is just Superman, and at the end you stop carrying on what is going on. He was like Steven Seagal, who almost never gets hurt in his films. You mention 100vs1 fight and that he got eventually overwhelmed, yes, he also too quite a few punches in the face, but felt nothing. Its was like fight of machine VS machine, only human feelings of vulnerability was lost. And the end of the scene of him just flying away, killed it for me.

As for why they didn't use guns more, well, we saw how effective they were against that agent Trinity was shooting at (she did nothing but miss) while she fell. Same goes for the agent that one of the "banshee" twins shot at (he just dodged everything), and even the banshees themselves would just do their morphing thing and either dodge the bullets or fix themselves. And, again, we saw how effective bullets were against Neo when the rogue programs unloaded their guns at him, which is why they resorted to fighting by hand.
And the reason why the fights went for so long, as in most HK flicks, is simply to be entertaining. If all Neo did was simply grab a sword and hack 'n slash through the rogue programs in a matter of seconds during the staircase fight, the scene would've been boring and made the programs seem too weak to be programs.
You say that guns are not very effective, then WHY carrying them at all. Either carry them and use them, or dont have it. I'm not complaining of the lack of REALISTIC fighting, nor I wanted shorter fights. But when characters pummel each other for some time without ANY visible effects of that, it not a good figh nor its an effective scene. Yes Neo could have carry the sword and its not necessary that he would have killed everyone with one slash. Weapon fighting scene was a breath of fresh air, among the hand combat sequences, and I wish there were more of it. At least that scene had more of raw power that rest lacked.

I find it surprising that you - someone who was so forgiving of the boatload of very conspicuous problems that Equilibrium had - would be so critical of Reloaded.
Gon
I dont have problems with Reloaded storyline, its action sequences that bugged me. I still think Gun Kata scenes and sword play in EQ were better than simular fights in Reloaded. But its just my opinion.

Right, exactly. And good point about Neo.
Did he use telekenesis at that part? Must've missed it.

Read my reply about guns. It would have been neat to see Neo display more of the other skills he has, instead of same fight, fight, fight, fly away routine.

There was defenantly some cool parts, but overall I'd give it a 3/5, whereas I would've given the first movie a 4.5/5.
I agree with Kidnemo here. Reloaded still a decent film, the story is INTERESTING, some of new FX are great, and it still a must see film of the Summer, it just it COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH MUCH BETTER.
