Microsoft has released a statement May 08 regarding the changes to the pricing structure of its online gaming platform, XBOX Live. The changes are as follows:
- Xbox Live one year renewal/subscription - $49.99
- Xbox Live monthly rate - $5.99 (for a month-by-month subscription)
- Xbox Live Voice Communicator - $29.99
- Xbox Live Starter Kit - $69.99
The new pricing will go into effect this fall.
$72 a year.... eesh.
I'm glad I got the starter kit already... jesus christ I thought 50$ for the kit and the free year was bad but thats absurd.
I think retailers will keep it at $50 just because they don't want to piss customers off.

Nope. Its 49.99 a year for the renewal/subscription. I have no idea why anybody would want to pay month by month, but if you do that option, thats when its $72...Quote:
