I know what the Itoh comic was about, but it really doesn't factor in at all. It was for Nintendo Power. NCL probably don't even know it exists; forgot about it; or it was a derivative work from official linear-notes, and the "new" storyline is simply another derivative of that source. Only annoying American fans seem to want to hold on to that shite comic.
Not knocking Benimaru, love his Pokemon books and plastic StarFox, Secret of Mana, and Earthbound models. I just think he's comics are best forgot :D
